Shortly after my husband and I got married at an intimate (and super brief!) ceremony at City Hall in New York, we set out to plan a larger celebration for the following summer in Cape Cod. From the very start, the Firefly team made us feel extremely excited about the opportunity to have our creative vision come to life and extremely taken care of. Not only are they incredibly professional and deeply knowledgeable about everything related to weddings (trust their vendor recommendations - they are amazing), but they’re also so kind, warm-hearted, and grounded. Throughout the entire experience, from inception to execution, Firefly kept calm, cool, and collected, which helped us do the same.

 If there were any hiccups on the day of, we knew nothing about them and were able to fully immerse ourselves in a beautiful, joyful day. We received endless compliments from guests, not only on the aesthetics of the wedding weekend but the seamlessness of its events that lent itself to everyone having so much fun, which is what we ultimately hoped for!

I found Firefly through a recommendation and after speaking with them and a few other planners via phone, I knew Firefly was the right choice for me. The conversation was so easy, Alia was very approachable, and best of all got me so excited about planning.

The best way to explain my experience with Firefly is EASY. I never expected I would describe planning a wedding in California while living in Ohio to be easy, but they made every single part of planning our wedding so effortless. Everything from researching and booking vendors, to the day-of timeline, was not only headache free but fun. I remember the day I got our design boards through email and how excited I was because I knew Alia just "got it" and our vision would be brought to life.

There was never a time that Firefly made me feel anxious or nervous and we were never made aware if there were any hiccups along the way. Communication was always on point, they kept me on track with contracts and other deliverables that I had to do, and kept the process moving at a really great pace.

We had a weekend full of events and each one was unique and full of the smallest details that made the best memories. We were completely worry-free, which meant our time was spent enjoying each other and our guests. The team was always around to answer any questions I had and to let me know that all was being taken care of. Words can't describe how happy I was with our wedding weekend. It was absolutely perfect. If you are considering planning a wedding or event with Firefly, don't hesitate. DO IT! My wife and I worked with Firefly for our wedding in Charleston. After we signed the contract with Firefly, we ended up changing our plans multiple times. In fact, we even changed the country we had originally agreed on. At every step of the process, the team was kind, understanding, helpful, and, most importantly, consummate professionals who navigated obstacles with ease and made the planning process exciting for us, not overwhelming.   

Even with all our faith and confidence in Firefly, we couldn't have imagined how beautiful the day would turn out. I picked Firefly Events to plan our wedding and it was easily one of the best decisions that I could have made. They are tireless hard workers who have an obvious knack for aesthetics, organization, and people skills that make them so well suited for their line of work. Firefly helped make the process of wedding planning truly seamless and were able to work with us to come up with a vision that was both true to personal taste and that worked beautifully with the venue. My husband and I worked with Firefly Events for about 14 months leading up to our wedding. Because of their dedication to us as people, our wedding really reflected our personalities; in fact, that's the biggest compliment we continue to receive about our wedding -- that it was "SO you guys!" We have the Firefly team to thank for creating something so deeply personal.

We'd heard horror stories about wedding planning ruining relationships, but with Firefly at the helm, not only did no one kill each other, but we actually had so much fun throughout the process. We are a nitpicky group (and my mom and I are quite Type A), but Firefly handled all of the craziness we threw their way with such grace and kindness. While we must have asked a trillion questions, edited program drafts a thousand times, and took forever to decide our music selection, Firefly was so patient with us and really guided us such that these tasks created no stress. Firefly kept us all on track and in the know, and we could rest assured that nothing would slip through the cracks. We were in competent hands from start to finish.

One reason we chose to work with Firefly was their commitment to working with and supporting other small businesses in the industry, and they helped us assemble such an amazing team of vendors that were both so professional and a true joy to work with. When we had an issue with our venue's mandatory caterer only 8 weeks prior to our wedding, Firefly stepped in and expertly renegotiated our contract (without us having to ask!) AND found us another excellent caterer in no time. Firefly's strong relationships with these vendors made our entire wedding planning process -- and the day of -- totally seamless.




As John and I were both starting high-demand jobs when we began our wedding planning, we had very little time to take care of details ourselves. We also knew that while we love brainstorming big picture ideas, neither one of us is particularly great at design or envisioning how things are going to look (which is obviously really important when planning a wedding!). We knew that we had to partner up with someone who could take our crazy ideas and turn them into something tangible and pull it all together. Bringing Firefly Events on was the smartest thing we did.
Our main goal was to share our favorite things with our favorite people. Firefly Events was absolutely critical in making it all happen. We came up with really crazy ideas and they would somehow find a way to make it happen. To this day we joke that had we not had Firefly, we still wouldn’t be married.
